Cruelty complaints receive the full attention of the Ontario SPCA in Toronto

Toronto, ON (June 15, 2009) - While the Toronto Humane Society remains under investigation and their status to conduct and participate in animal cruelty investigations suspended, the Ontario SPCA has created a network of support for Toronto to respond to allegations of neglect, abuse and abandoned animals.

Since the suspension of the Toronto Humane Society, the Ontario SPCA has responded to approximately 20 complaints within Toronto in the last two weeks. The annual average is approximately 530 complaints.
