One day after a search warrant was executed at the Toronto Humane Society, resulting in the arrests of five
senior staff members, Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals investigators discovered a mummified
cat in a cage hidden in the ceiling.

for the headquarters of the Toronto Humane Society (THS) at 11 River Street, Toronto, Ontario, and one private
residence. The warrants were issued in an ongoing investigation into animal cruelty at the THS. Members of the
Toronto Police Service provided assistance.

affiliate member is currently suspended. The Toronto Humane Society has no more right or authority than a private

investigating allegations of inappropriate conduct at the Toronto Humane Society. The article entitled "Killing Them with

euthanasia policy.
